Fitna the Movie

Fitna the Movie is out...
long awaited. its a very different film.
Director/Producer/Writer: Geert Wilders, a Dutch politician (rightist).

core stuffed with an unbalanced ideology and the shell adorned with impressionable caricaturization.
the plot of this 10 minute odd film does NOT revolve around anything. the plot simply sticks to the basic point. it lashes out hard at Islam, the teachings.

there has been a lot of hue and cry about this movie from either ends. the free world fundamentalists call it curtailing of the freedom of expression while the Islamics are emotional about the gross picturization of the film in itself.

i just saw the 10 minute flick....

the disclaimer is called in the first very frame of the film.
"Warning: The movie contains disturbing material".

next we have the Quran Sharif (the Central religious text of Islam) opening. an extraordinary looking, ornate-back book. Quran is an Arabic word that means the recitation.
i looked back to check if it did open from exactly the opposite end as regular books. without a doubt.

next on roll is one of the ever famous and controversial cartoons of Prophet Mohamed by the Danish cartoonist Kurt Westergaard. The Prophet has a ticking bomb in his turban.

Basically the Quran Sharif is broken down into Surahs (meaning: an entity enclosed by a fence) which are chapters and further into verses. the director has centered on a few Surahs that are interpreted by the Islamic extremists to the best of their understanding giving rise to something like a 9/11 massacre.

The camera rolls to Quran's Surah 8, vers 60. the interpretation boils down to the fact that the Quran preaches to terrorize the enemies of Islam as an enemy of self. this is spiced with a few breathtaking pictures of the 9/11 attack which we all would have seen before, followed by the train station blasts in Madrid.
the Muslim clergy (Imams) follows next, evangelizing the idea of extremism by killing non-muslims. these are some real footages.

hold your breath when the film reel touches 2:30 on the timer. there are actually some disturbing pictures of baked corpses waiting for the maggots.

Quran's Surah 4, vers 56 attacks the disbelievers in Islam. the movie again has some very aggressive interpretations alongside the Imams (clergy) at the best of their provocation.
a short interview of a three and a half year old lovely Muslim girl follows. she's asked what she thinks about the Jews. rap comes a reply... "they are monkeys and swines". this according to the toddler is what Allah says in the Quran.
the Muslims praise Hitler, ridicule Jews with their expression in public. its a crystal clear depiction of the thoughts and acts of Muslims.

Surah 47, vers 7 in the flick again points out at disbelievers. according to the interpretation
the throats shall be slit of such people. Theo van Gough, a film director with a strong critical viewpoint on Islam was murdered in a street of Netherland by a Morroccon Muslim Mohammed Bouyeri. the director adds some clips from T. van Gough's interview before the murder and a statement by Bouyeri wherein he claims that given another chance he would re-act the whole murder sequence.

Surah 4, vers 89 is the last one to take the interpreters' toll. Islam is glorified and rated above all other religions. ex-muslims threatened and abused, salman rusdhie being one of them.

the last shot very smartly plastered wherein one of these pages from the Quran is held firm and in the next very darkened frame a paper ripping sound is heard.
running text in the end suggests to Muslims to take a call on their Holy Book. to learn from the good and rip the hatred.
then there is a slight shift in the agenda and the text reads "Stop Islam from spreading - defend OUR freedom".
ending with the focus on the same cartoon where it all began. the focus precisely on the ticking time-bomb on the head of Prophet Mohamed with the added sound effect of the tick-tocking of a clock as the background score.

in my opinion, the Muslims fighting against this movie are justified. as this i feel is a gross glorification of the extremism that has been inculcated in Islam as a religion.
i can watch this movie and express my opinion with ease. neither am I a Muslim nor was i there at the WTC on 9/11.
but what astonishes me is that i could have been Mohommed dRoZzY or dRoZzY Nelson at the WTC. and i could have still come from a similar family of high values. what would i have then thought about Fitna.
let us all be just to one another. let us be just to humanity. God does not make Allah or Christ...
He makes human beings in His factory. some of His productions are like Mohommed Bouyeri and some like Geert Wilders. the rest of the products are you and I...

if one sikh killing Indira Gandhi gets over 5000 random sikhs butchered in the National Capital Region of India then the random Muslims needs to find another planet sooner than now.
