the recruiter...

this post is dedicated to "the recruiter"
i have been acting like an ass ever since i joined my new organization. i do this whenever i get something that i don't want. my current job is nothing more than serendipity. like they say...
"shit happens !!!"
ask my soul to understand how cruel i have been to my current organization. but then they still hired me. they knew that they weren't my first choice. but still.....
this was just a back-up for the mumbai war saga. i never thought that i would actually end up here. i remember my mom getting all emotional a day before i was leaving for mumbai. she asked me in a low voice "why don't you join these noida guys?". i was on my toes to tell her that i'd rather choose to die.
and here i am. a liar to the core. not dead, yet working for them. hawww....
the distance kills me. i drive almost 90 kilometers each day. my earnings are not helping be bear this pain. i don't save a penny more than my last job @ noida. what i miss is a lavish trip to UK that was on the cards this year end.
give me a reason to carry on... at least one.
all's bad i agree... but then i have found an amazing aspect to this organization. people are very different. at least the kinds that i have made friends with.
i told the "the recruiter" that i have been really impressed by the way she sold her organization to me. there would be a reference in one of my previous posts.
i was really taken aback by reply. she told me that one could only sell something if (s)he really likes it.
for a moment i thought that she is being paid like hell. and i am sure that she is....
she called me the "cribbu king".... because i, forever keep cribbing about the salary package that i am taking home.
please, for once , step into my nikes (size 9). you don't switch a job for fun. i have a career going down the drain. i need to balance my work with the money. i am under immense pressure because this damned world expects me to do more. every frikkin' day... they are not bothered if i know AJAX or not. they just want to see me in a big red car. wtf???
the only problem is that i care. and yes i do. i am bothered about what the world says. and right now they are not happy, just like me.
but the only thing i am happy about is to see the way these people enjoy their work. all of them seem to be a cool bunch of college hangiez.... and they are all very helpful and sweet. especially "the recruiter". i like people who like their work.
i hope i like myself someday.

U make me almost afraid to step out into the real world. I'm a big chooha and can't possibly live upto such big issues like living upto expectations and changing jobs and all.

you have my respect for making it in the world.

@ms. skeeter: thanks. i hope i do. you surely would :)

@'this is me': nobody is small. we all grow upto it one day. consciously or unconsciously. we all master the art. what we have, are lean patches where we all go low. only the winners sustain and fall-back.

Very rightly said by a wiseman: "Girte hain shah-sawar hi,
Maidan-e-zang mein; Wo tifl kya girega, Jo chalta hai ghutnon ke bal."
~~~A rider brave alone, Falls in the battle field; How can an infant fall, Who crawls behind a shield?~~~
i am honoured to have your respect. it's a big thing to say.
Expectations ruin u no doubt but u hav guts n thts y u r already out there unlike most of us who r in our own world;n "cribbing" is human nature !dont blame urself!
@surabhi: i'll surely try not to do that. al lot of people seemed to have been moved by this post. it makes me feel worse because it's only a part ofthe story (i dont call itthe suffering)...
i don't blame anyone, not even myself. i really enjoy it all. i am being honest.
Now that you propelled the push, will surely do so-soonish!
Actually I barely blog, but will now try and find the time and inclination to do so off and on-so to say the least!
