and yet again....the ball isn't rolling as ever but yes... better than before.i am coming to terms with life. every decision seems to be a hard one.
CP was as pretty as ever last evening. VOLGA is a shady place to drink but then there was something very unusual about it. the rustic table, cranky chairs, dim lights and the salted peanuts were talking about their past. the ceiling was almost 30 feet high. i did look up twice to wish that i would have been a regular at VOLGA when it would have been rocking the Delhi pub scene. that surely must have been a zillion years back. i asked for the tab... a large vodka shot: 50 bucks, soda: 20 bucks, sprite (written sprit): 20 bucks, peanuts: 20+20.... the ambience: priceless.the Delhi regulars were there. old men with their ladies. in groups of 2-4. there was this strange gentleman sitting and sipping all alone by himself. loners scare me. but i am sure he liked it.my friend took the tab. she had to use her credit card to pay. i don't blame her. it's the dilli vishwavidyalya happening to her. she wants to study again. pam studies at the Delhi school of economics. ironically she does not study anything closely related to economics:) not her fault. she's been a reporter all her life.
then we had to catch up with another one of our reporter pals. she is the happy page3 chic. she is now so used to her work that at times she feels like a p3 socialite herself. it's really interesting at times:) but then there's a lot of positive to it. i get all the passes to all the happenings in Delhi. at times (like today) i even get a couple of gift vouchers from her which are sourced from the creepy pr guys. all's welcome without a price tag.
finally i had to call it a day after having my favourite food at my favourite dhaba with my favourite guy buddy. 3 butter rotiz with loadz of butter chicken and 500ml of coke. now would this have been a dream, i would have surely cried myself to sleep after that.
work finally begins on monday. i am now looking forward to it. hope it's sunshine. i need to wash my car and my bike. if all goes well by the year end, then i'd love to buy myself a new bike. a burning desire from schooldays. a passion within. i just love that beast.
i need blessings. the weakness is going every second.
